The International Workshop on Nanotechnology, Commodities, and Development began with four brief overview presentations of nanotechnologies and their applications to commodities, including textiles, composites and mining, agriculture and food, to set the stage for further discussions on the potential impacts of nanotechnologies on commodity-dependent developing countries.
